Our Mission
Founded in August 2019, Fruit of the Garden Early Learning Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that primarily serves to help children develop a successful beginning during their early years. Our goal is to teach, nurture, and provide healthy meals for young children.
About Us
Founder of Fruit of the Garden, Judith Greene, received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics Education. She later felt the need to further her education driven by her desire to help younger children and help shape their future. Judith went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Prairie View University. During her teaching career of 34 years, she was voted Teacher of the Year twice. One of the best years of her career was teaching kindergarten at Nat Q. Henderson Elementary School. Those children blossomed in her classroom throughout the entire school year and even went on to excel in the first grade, with twelve of her students remaining on the honor roll. Judith’s passion for children’s education still stands strong today, and she felt the need to return to early childhood learning.
Our mission is to teach children to develop a successful beginning during their early education years by providing a positive and growing learning environment. We take pride in our educators within our community and strive for our students to have an advanced education when leaving our center. With the progressive growth of students in the Houston area and lack of education centers, Fruit of the Garden Early Learning Center is committed to solving this issue by growing our community and providing the necessary objectives to Houston by the end of 2022. Our Learning Center is critical because we need to provide a clean environment, quality healthy food, a safe environment, and a positive learning atmosphere.

Fruit of the Garden Early Learning Center’s primary service will include an educational facility for Pre-Kindergarten to Second Grade children. Opportunities are provided for students to engage in crafts, cooking, computer skills, physical activities, and Spanish classes. The learning center will be equipped with handicapped facilities and include additional programs for senior citizens, after-school care, and employment for special needs teens and young adults. Our facility for church services will offer a Christian education to children through the Awana program, with parents’ consent.
